| AUGUST 1993 Someone must work on top of the coke oven to make sure the air seals are tight. The ovens are not sufficiently insulated, and it is hot up here. Making these pictures, the bottoms of my sneakers melted. I left part of them stuck to the pavement, like chewing-gum footprints.
